Allegiance to the Gods is a mechanic in campaign for Norsca (World Walkers and Wintertooth). ==Overview== Razing settlements allows the player to gain allegiance with the four Chaos Gods: * The Hound (Khorne) * The Serpent (Slaanesh) * The Crow (Nurgle) * The Eagle (Tzeentch) At the top center of the screen, the Allegiance of the Gods UI element will show your current allegiance level with each God, as well as the potential rewards. Gaining allegiance with more than one God is possible, however ultimately the player must choose one to give full devotion to one God, in order to join Archaon's Chaos Invasion and get The Everchosen's Summons. However, doing so will incur the wrath of the other Gods, and they will send various factions to attack you: {|style="text-align: left;" |- | |Challenger of the Eagle |- | |Challenger of the Hound |- | |Challenger of the Serpent |- | |Challenger of the Crow |} Defeating these will reward the player with 1000 money per challenger. ==Gaining allegiance== Razing settlements generates allegiance: ;Raze for the Serpent * Razes settlement and erects a Serpent monument, giving allegiance with the Serpent. * +6 allegiance with the Serpent, -2 allegiance with each of the other Gods. ;Raze for the Eagle * Razes settlement and erects an Eagle monument, giving allegiance with the Eagle. * +6 allegiance with the Eagle, -2 allegiance with each of the other Gods. ;Raze for the Hound * Razes settlement and erects a Hound monument, giving allegiance with the Hound. * +6 allegiance with the Hound, -2 allegiance with each of the other Gods. ;Raze for the Crow * Razes settlement and erects a Crow monument, giving allegiance with the Crow. * +6 allegiance with the Crow, -2 allegiance with each of the other Gods. Completing a Monster Hunt will also give you a dilemma where you will choose which god to sacrifice the monster to. You will gain 12 allegiance with the god you chose and -4 allegiance with the other three, so the equivalent of razing two settlements. ==Rewards== {| class="wikitable sortable" style="text-align: left;" !Name !Level !Required Favour !Effects |- |The Hound's Gaze |Level 1 |30 | * Weapon strength: +10% for all melee units (all forces) |- |The Hound's Favour |Level 2 |60 | * Weapon strength: +10% for all melee units (all forces) * Unit experience gain per turn: +100 (all forces) |- |Champion of the Hound |Level 3 |100 | * Unit experience gain per turn: +100 (all forces) * Weapon strength: +10% for all melee units (all forces) * The Ice-Forged Legion, a regiment of renown, becomes available to recruit. For each level of allegiance you gain with each god, you gain a cumulative +20% income from Ports. Ports are one of the biggest sources of income for Norsca, so it is worth trying to maximize this as much as possible. == Strategy == Getting to level 3 allegiance with a single god can be done fairly quickly by razing 17 settlements, but trying to get rewards from multiple gods is more difficult because of the negative allegiance. Allegiance can't go below zero, so you should alternate as little as possible. Instead, get one god to just below maximum and then gain some allegiance with others. A few examples: * If you want to get to level 3 with the Hound and level 2 with the Eagle, first get 96 allegiance with the Hound, then 72 with the Eagle, then raise the Hound to 100. This requires razing 33 settlements * If you want to get to level 3 with the Hound and level 1 with the Eagle and Crow, first get 96 allegiance with the Hound, then 60 with the Eagle, then 48 with the Crow before finally raising the Hound to 100. This requires razing 41 settlements * If you want to get to level 3 with the Hound, level 2 with the Eagle, and level 1 with the Crow, first get 96 allegiance with the Hound, then 96 with the Eagle, then 48 with the Crow before finally raising the Hound to 100. This requires razing 49 settlements. == See also == * Cults, for Daemon armies.
