Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki

Hailing from deep within the Amaxon Basin, these reptiles instinctively hunt in a co-ordinated fashion, creating a savage synergy.

Amaxon Barbs (Razordon Hunting Pack) are a Lizardmen Regiment of Renown war beasts unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer II with The Hunter and the Beast.

Recruitment[]

  • Recruited with: Regiments of Renown Recruitment panel

Description[]

Razordons are a species of predatory reptile covered with an array of large hardened spikes made from bone that project menacingly. As a defensive protection, this razor-sharp body armour serves to deter all but the most determined of creatures, and even the most monstrous of Lustria’s many apex predators will think twice before attacking a Razordon. The Razordon’s spines are not only a deterrent, however, they are also a deadly offensive weapon. By way of powerful muscle spasms, their spines can be discharged, shooting outwards in a deadly hail.

Attributes[]

  • Monstrous Missile Beasts
  • Armoured: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
  • Armour-Piercing: The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Scaly Skin: Scaly skin or hides help to dampen or deflect the damage caused by missile weapons, increasing this unit's Missile Resistance.
  • Poison Attacks: The poisonous attacks of this unit weaken the target's speed and damage and/or apply the Poison! debuff.

Unit Abilities[]

Passive Abilities[]

Difference from Razordon Hunting Pack[]

  • New Contact Effect: Poison! (Melee & Range attacks)
  • Missile Resistance increased from 0 to 15%
  • Cost increased from 800 to 1075 (SP & MP)
  • Upkeep increased from 200 to 269

Strategy[]

Razordons with poison melee and ranged attacks as well as 15% missile resistance. Overall, not hugely impactful considering there is so much poison on the Lizardmen roster. You are generally better off with standard Razordons.
