Archmage (Light) is a High Elves Lord unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer II with The Warden and the Paunch.

Description[]

In Ulthuan, those who devote their lives to magic are treated with the highest respect and honour. Though each kingdom has its own magical traditions and methods of scholarship, Saphery is the realm most famed for its mages, and it is at the White Tower of Hoeth that Ulthuan's seat of magical learning can be found. There, the greatest collection of Mages, Loremasters and scholars in the world endeavour to perfect their mastery of the sorcerous arts. This Archmage is good in a ranged-focused army such as Archers or Sisters of Avelorn. Net of Amyntok will stop movements of most-urgent threats such as Valkia or Be'lakor that needs to be elinimated allowing them to turn whatever the threat is into DLC-locked red mist. Other than that, Martial Prowess will allow them to fight against low-tier units. You can cycle charge them once you unlock a mount and they become an infantry-destroyer once they obtain the dragons. They'll still probably go down if fighting against a melee-focused Lord.
