Baersonling is a minor Norscan Tribes faction first introduced in Total War: Warhammer.

Description[ | ]

The Baersonlings or Baerson, are a Norscan Tribe centered on the village of Vinnskor, noted for hair and beards of pale gold. They are rivals of the Aeslings. Those found guilty of cowardice, abandoning their kinsmen in the midst of battle, with no scars to be found on their bodies, are stripped naked, tied to the village gallows, and doused with water. By the next day, such criminals are frozen so solid that not even the ravens can make a meal of them.

Campaign[ | ]

In Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer II they do not appear on the map by default, and must be awakened by the Warriors of Chaos. In order for them to be awakened, the Warriors of Chaos must win a battle against a settlement in the Goromandy Mountains. It doesn't matter who currently controls the settlement. If the Baersonlings are wiped out, the Warriors of Chaos can just awaken them again by winning another battle against a settlement in the Goromandy Mountains.

In Total War: Warhammer III they appear on the map and serve as an early enemy for The Ice Court The Ice Court
