Description[]
The Beast of Nurgle is a truly horrendous aberration, no less deadly than it is morbidly and irrefutably ugly. Its corpulent form is both sticky and slimy, as a layer of infectious ooze seeps from its every pore and orifice. Despite its fearsome appearance and deadly attributes, the Beast is an affectionate creature that behaves in all respects exactly like an overfriendly and easily excited puppy. It craves attention, greeting newcomers by slobbering all over them and petting them with its slimy tentacles. Once the Beast's new friend stops moving, its interest quickly shifts to another target.
Attributes[]
Monster- ▲ Armour-Piercing: The damage of
armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets. - ▲ Regeneration:
Regeneration allows a unit to heal while in battle. Fire is known to harm this healing process, so be warned that
flaming attacks will cause more damage to units with Regeneration. - ▲ Poison Attacks: The
poisonous attacks of this unit weaken the target's speed and damage and/or apply the Poison! debuff.
Unit Abilities[]
Passive Abilities[]
Strategy[]
The Beast of Nurgle doesn't fill any easily identifiable niche and instead functions as a jack-of-all-trades light monster. It's cheap for an SEM and relatively easy to get in campaign, lending it some utility, and its Slime Trail passive means it's at its best supporting your front line, weighing in against cavalry and sword and board infantry. Deploying it there also allows you to pull it back behind your line if it gets into trouble and needs a Fleshy Abundance. Don't pitch it at other SEMs unsupported because it's very unlikely to either win or be able to escape, it's very much a combined arms tool for that slow, unstoppable infantry wall of yours.
