Big walls keep the enemy out, whether they be made from the ruins of Dwarfen works or erected by indentured Goblins. That's logic that even an Orc can follow, and one of the reasons why Greenskins crave Dwarfholds so much. Even away from the mountains, Orcs love a big wall. These are usually made from wood, banded with iron, with plenty of effigies of the gods dangling from them.
