Black Water is a province introduced in Total War: Warhammer III. It is part of The Realm of Chaos and Immortal Empires.
The province corresponds to the Zhufbar province in Mortal Empires and The Old World.
Background[]
Black Water lies on the western side of the World's Edge Mountains, looking down into the shadowy Imperial province of Sylvania. It fringes Black Fire Pass and the Black Mountains beyond to the south. It takes its name from Black Water Lake, a deep and icy body of water fed by the mountains above. Since they first came to inhabit the area, Dwarfs have used the lake and its torrents to wash ore and power their mining operations, with Zhufbar and the forsaken hold of Karak Varn in particular building many ingenious hydraulic systems to take advantage of it.
The Dwarfs are relatively sheltered here and they fought hard to retain the area during the Goblin Wars. Zhufbar and its satellites remain highly mechanised and well protected stronghold of theirs, where iron and gromril smelting continues apace.
