Sandwiched between enemies with even the potential "allies" preparing you to declare war as soon as your balance of power is lower than theirs, this faction has quite a lot of options to expand along with a variety of enemies to fight against, a variety of skulls to offer to Khorne, even. The upkeep reduction for continuous battles is extremely useful, especially when you need to raise multiple armies to fight against various threats everywhere. Odds are the nearby Dark Elves, Vampire Counts and Skaven are likely not to attack you (emphasizing on "likely" because a single drop of balance of power will make them declare war on you, assuming you have no non-aggression pacts with them but you should be able to have good relationship with them since you share common enemies with them). Your main starting threats are Itza, The Huntsmarshal's Expedition, The Jade Court and Bordeleaux Errant and you're well equipped enough to deal with most of them. Markus Wulfhart is most likely to spam Archer/Swordsmen (but the AI can access the Hunter heroes at any given time, which might be annoying since if they are not embed in an army, they will use action heroes to annoy you) which are not known to be strong against your main units: Bloodletters. The anti-infantry Knights Errant and Questing Knights might be a threat for you (which is something Alberic starts spamming at turn 10-20-ish). Itza will put up a fight, but will most likely be fighting against The Awakened, allowing you to attack when they are too busy fighting with The Awakened or ignore if you think Luthor Harkon is powerful enough to defeat Itza. The Jade Court will be quite tough, but they'll most likely fight against Hexoalt instead of fighting you.

Trivia[]

Apparently, the code that was re-used for The Daemons are Reforged is literally as same as The Dead Rises Again for Vampire Counts/Vampire Coast.
