- For the province of the same name, see Bordeleaux (province).
Bordeleaux Errant (previously known as Bordeleaux) is a playable Bretonnia faction introduced in Total War: Warhammer. It is led by Alberic de Bordeleaux.
How they play[]
General[]
Chivalry: Noble actions provide faction-wide bonuses, while acting unchivalrously incurs penalties.
The Green Knight: When certain thresholds of chivalry are reached, Bretonnia can summon a unique hero unit.
Peasant Economy: Peasants work the land, and fight in armies. Recruiting too many peasant units hampers your economy.
Knights and Peasants: Equestrian-based unit roster with a host of fast-moving skirmish cavalry and heavily-armoured shock cavalry.
Lance Formation: A unit ability on certain Bretonnian cavalry which confers bonuses and allows them to pierce enemy lines.
- Vows and Troths: Complete challenges pledged by your characters to gain powerful rewards.

Strategy[]
Alberic starts far from home, surrounded by multiple enemies with some allies here and there. Lustria campaign is quite annoying, as it's mostly composed of jungle patches blocking paths, making it annoying to chase down fleeing enemy AI. Your first intial targets are either The Awakened or Blooded Wanderers. Then you can decide to either defeat and conquer the settlements of Itza, and the Itza settlement with that amazing landmark that grants replenishment factionwide. At least Alberic starts the campaign with the ability to recruit early Knights units.
Since it's Lustria, the battle maps aren't going to do this faction a favor, since there will be a lot of forested areas on the map, which significantly weakens your cavalry, which is pretty much 95% of good Bretonnia units.
Trivia[]
- They also appear as a minor, non-playable faction in the The Season of Revelation campaign.
