Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki

The largest and least pleasant of the Bull Centaurs are their Taur'ruk Lords, who combine the keen intelligence of their full-Dawi cousins, but with all the heft that four powerful legs bring to proceedings.

Bull Centaur Taur'ruk is a Chaos Dwarfs Hero unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs.

Recruitment[]

Description[]

Bull Centaur Taur'ruks, also known as Bull Centaur Lords, are the largest and most powerful of the Bull Centaurs. Hulking and savage creatures that are just as keen-witted and intelligent as their bipedal brethren, Bull Centaurs serve the Legion of Azgorh as shock troops and temple guardians. To them is entrusted the protection of the sacred fanes of Hashut, as they more than any other have been twisted into the closest semblance of the Father of Darkness’ image.

Attributes[]

  • Melee Specialist
  • Armoured: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
  • Armour-Piercing Melee: The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Anti-Large: Anti-Large: Anti-large units have an advantage against targets that are at least as large as a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against large targets or an attack that focuses on a very small area. However, some units are simply better against large targets because their attacks are slow and easy to dodge by skilled melee combatants.
  • Scaly Skin: Scaly skin or hides help to dampen or deflect the damage caused by missile weapons, increasing this unit's Missile Resistance.

Strategy[]

Chaos Dwarfs struggle for anti-large, so having a hero in an army who brings that, the Training passive and can tank a bit is a fairly useful package. It is recommended to focus on upgrading their speed and buffing it further with items, because otherwise plenty of cavalry types and mounted heroes will be able to avoid him.
