Starting in a very defensible location, Caravan of Blue Roses intial enemies are mostly Poxmakers of Nurgle in the South along with possible of local Ogres/Cathay and Empire faction declaring war on you with little to no allies because why not? But dealing with the Nurgle is probably more urgent than dealing with anything else. Ironically enough, a matchup between an average Vampire Counts army and an average Nurgle army is quite weird since in the early games, both races's armies aren't known for speed or dealing a lot of damage, but rather to stall and let spellcasters or the rare heavy hitters to do most of the job, a case of rotthing dying/dead immovable force VS rotting filthy, plague-ridden immovable force.

After replacing the filthy rotting corruption of Nurgle with your own filthy rotting corruption, there's another issue: Legion of Azgorh. Undead units aren't really known to be withstanding against fire damage heavily-armored, which is the Chaos Dwarfs, so you'll need to either utilize that they're busy dealing with other threats to finish them off or deal with them politically. In my opinions, this faction is quite restrained compare to other Vampire Counts factions: Dealing with a bordering hostile faction will just expose yourself to even worse enemies: You deal with Nurgle -> Expose yourself to Chaos Dwarfs/High Elf/Skaven, deal with them and expose yourself to Dwarfs/Greenskins. You deal with Ogres -> Expose yourself to Greenskins/Chaos Dwarfs, deal with them and you expose yourself to Chaos. Deal with Empire and you expose yourself to Cathay, Lizardmen and possibly Skaven allied with Dark Elves.

It's and endless loop of challenges, fitting for any players seeking a campaign filled with enemies and not looking to confederate other Legendary Lords. Despite that, Helman Ghorst is perfectly well-equipped to deal with this. Thanks to the insane buffs for zombies in Helman's skill-tree along with obtainable technologies that can be easily obtained thanks to Helman's personal 15%+ research bonus and the buffs of the "Unliving Host" and "Legions of Dead" node of the red skill-tree line, a player can turn an average zombie into a walking rotting killing machine that makes a Bloodthrister jealous.
