Description[ | ]

In Norsca, wolves and hounds prowl in the flickering shadows of the campfires made by the barbarian tribespeople of the frozen lands. The further north the tribe dwells, the more likely it is that the hounds that follow them will be mutants, their bodies swollen by the energies of Chaos. Brutish and bloodthirsty, the Warhounds of Chaos are natural killers built of muscle and fang that prowl the wilderness in ravening packs. They will even charge a spearwall with total abandon, their only concern the moment when their slobbering jaws sink into juicy, yielding flesh.

Attributes[ | ]

  • War beast War Beasts
  • Very Fast: This unit can run circles around most other units, taunting and harrassing the enemy or evading its missile fire.
  • Vanguard Deployment: This unit can deploy in an expanded deployment area, allowing it to start the battle within striking distance of the enemy - or somewhere unexpected.
  • Scaly Skin: Scaly skin or hides help to dampen or deflect the damage caused by missile weapons, increasing this unit's Missile Resistance.
  • Weak Against Armour: This unit's attack can hardly punch through armour and is thus wasted on heavily armoured enemies.

Strategy[ | ]

The Chaos Warhounds can be use to flank missile units or to deal with routing enemies however its poison variant; Chaos Warhounds (Poison) has such an immense advantage over regular Chaos Warhounds, that there is no reason to bother with the base version unless the player is exceptionally lacking in money.
