A ritualistic union with the Dark Prince spurs symphonies of misery inflicted upon His enemies.

Chaos Warriors of Slaanesh are a Warhost of the Apocalypse Warriors of Chaos and Slaanesh Slaanesh melee infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Champions of Chaos DLC.

Recruitment[ | ]

Description[ | ]

Chaos Warriors dedicated to the Dark Prince of Chaos are regarded by His lesser warriors as walking avatars of their God. They truly walk the path of damnation and excess, the strongest fated to become His chosen or mighty champions if they survive their ordeals. Although armour-clad, many leave portions of pale flesh bare as if to titillate opponents with the illusion of weakness, inviting them to attempt to strike at imagined weak spots. Consumed by their own dark passions, they appear distant and something other than human. Their followers bathe in this otherworldly glory, driven by the need for the great warriors’ approval to commit further atrocities.

Attributes[ | ]

  • Infantry sword Sword Infantry
  • Armoured & Shielded: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Modifier icon armour piercingArmour-Piercing damage. Modifier icon shieldShields have a chance of blocking arrows, bolts, rifle shots and similar small arms fire - but only in a forward facing arc.

Strategy[ | ]

Chaos Warriors are perhaps more valuable to Slaanesh than to any other Monogod faction, for the simple reason they are one of the few units in its roster that offer real resilience. They therefore provide you a great anvil for the wide variety of hammer units that are otherwise often stuck running into enemy spears, since there's nothing meaningful preventing them from repositioning. Slaanesh also gifts them the Strider attribute, which is great for a melee unit that will be spending long periods slogging over open ground.

The downside is that even with Strider they are significantly slower than everything else you'll be fielding, and without micro they'll be lagging behind, particularly annoying if you're on the offensive. Still, they're a big step up from Marauders and well worth the effort synchronising their assaults with your glass cannons.
