Description[ | ]
Chaos Warriors of Tzeentch tend to be subtly individual, with many small differences between them. Typically their plate armour and shield will be engraved with intricately patterned sigils that radiate with raw power, or flow with blinking eyes or gibbering mouths, or are perhaps inscribed with a minute arcane text making the wearer literally a walking grimoire. Though it is not immediately visible, many will have mutated flesh, their Chaos armour melting and reforming around the warped appendages of their bodies. They are deadly and unpredictable; they are warriors who have the favour of the God of Magic.
Attributes[ | ]
Sword Infantry
- ▲ Armoured & Shielded: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from
Armour-Piercing damage.
Shields have a chance of blocking arrows, bolts, rifle shots and similar small arms fire - but only in a forward facing arc.
- ▲ Barrier: This unit has a barrier that absorbs damage until depleted. When not taking damage, the barrier will slowly replenish. Maximum barrier health is proporsional to remaining unit health.
Strategy[ | ]
The addition of barrier make these guys the best line-holders of the Chaos Warriors variants, and that's well worth keeping in mind when you're recruiting Marauders as a Warriors of Chaos faction. Magic attacks also make them a good counter for enemies with high physical resistance, such as Daemons or Undead.
For Tzeentch they can be a little slow for the rest of your roster, but there are few better anvils out there for your various flyers and monsters, who are typically fragile and vulnerable to missile units.
