Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki

Clan Septik is a minor Skaven faction introduced in Total War: Warhammer II. It is led by Vermitch and can be found in the northwestern wastes of Naggaroth.

Background[]

Clan Septik is a Thrall Clan which swore fealty to Clan Pestilens during the first great Skaven Civil War. They are the most fanatical believers in the entire Pestilent Brotherhood, rabid zealots whose fervour rivals (and possibly exceeds) that of their Clan Pestilens masters. Clan Septik see themselves as the right-hand claw of Clan Pestilens, who have thus far encouraged this view – after all, you can never have enough devout troops willing to fight (and die) for your cause. Despite the casual way in which this Thrall clan is thrown into battle, they have (so far) always emerged relatively intact, leading many to believe that the Horned Rat himself is looking favorably upon Clan Septik. The warriors of Clan Septik utilise robes and banners of an off-white colour, to better show their disgusting collection of filthy stains. These Skaven wield weapons and armour corroded with rust (the rustier the better), and their bodies are covered in dirty bandages draped over weeping sores. The diseased claw is a common icon amongst the Skaven of Clan Septik.

The elite warriors of Clan Septik are known as the Plaguevermin. They are blessed with the rustiest blades the clan has at its disposal – weapons that never seem to break or lose their razor-edge.[1]

Strategy[]

They provide an early opponent for Naggarond. In Mortal Empires/Eye of the Vortex they can potentially be confederated by Clan Rictus.

In Immortal Empires, as Naggarond, you should occupy The Altar of Ultimate Darkness before signing a temporary truce with this faction to deal with the much more urgent problem that is The Ancestral Throng. Because he also starts at war with this faction, there's a good chance that Grombindal's army will force-march into the area near the said settlement, allowing you to easily intercept them and quickly destroy them before they can turn into a larger nuisance. After that, you can just go back and finish this faction off.
