- Not to be confused with Crooked Moon.
Crooked Moon Mutinous Gits is a minor Greenskins faction introduced in Total War: Warhammer. It is led by Morglum Backstabba and can be found in Karak Eight Peaks in the middle of The Badlands.
Background[]
During one of Skarsnik's hunting trips, these mutinous gits took over Karak Eight Peaks.
Starting territory[]
The Old World and Mortal Empires[]
- Karak Eight Peaks settlement
Diplomacy[]
- Aggressive
- Unreliable
- Underdog
Strategy[]
They are always at war against Crooked Moon, Clan Mors and Clan Angrund, peace cannot be made. They always have a full-stack within the the fortified Karak Eight Peaks with walls. They will never send this stack out of the province, and only recruit a new army to fight against other factions, mostly the trio of factions above. They will also never launch a Waaagh! against anyone (maybe it's because they are somewhat passive).
As Clan Mors, in exchange of having the easiest way (most of the enemies on the path are just minor factions that can easily be destroyed) there, you are more likely to fight against this faction's army. Before you manage to secure the path there, they often send 2-3 armies (not at once, but in total, assuming you're semi-competent) before you can actually reach Karak Eight Peaks. This can either be a burden (no one wants to deal with a mid-end-game-tier stacks every now and then by a faction that you can't fully exterminate yet, especially with an early-game Skaven army assuming you aren't using Food to upgrade your settlement while fighting off Karak Azul, Red Fangs and/or Clan Verms with Exiles of Khorne, Bloody Handz, Court of Lybaras, Harbinger of Disaster may be declaring war on you) or be taken advantage off (Free food to ugprade your settlements, money to build high-end recruitment buildings and experience).
As Clan Angrund or Crooked Moon, by the time you reach Karak Eight Peaks, it's probably already claimed by Clan Mors with this faction being wiped out.
As anyone else, if you want to foster good relationship with one of the three factions that are fighting for Eight Peaks, you can declare war on this factions and asking for pacts/money. They aren't likely to actually send an army at you. It's probably impossible for you to send an army to attack anyway, especially in the early game and they aren't going to last until mid-game.
There is a small, possibly near-impossible chance of this faction defeating Crooked Moon's Skarsnik's army itself and confederating Skarsnik with them. This is quite improbable to happen, but happened quite a lot in Warhammer 2.
Trivia[]
- This faction was added with Update 4, at the same time The King and the Warlord DLC came out.
