Cultists of the Blood God are brutes in battle, hoping to draw their master's gaze.

Cultist of Khorne is a Khorne Hero unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III.

Recruitment[]

Description[]

The Cults of Khorne can be found across the world. Less fond of the clandestine trappings that accompany the other Dark Powers, His Cultists establish and propagate such sects, roaming far and wide to serve their God, spreading His corruption in their stead. Some will aspire to rise and become true champions of Khorne, but there are always plenty of eager supplicants who simply wish to murder and slay in the Blood God’s name, and so spread their Cult's influence far and wide.

Attributes[]

  • Melee Specialist
  • Armoured & Shielded: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage. Shields have a chance of blocking arrows, bolts, rifle shots and similar small arms fire - but only in a forward facing arc.
  • Frenzy: Units with frenzy cause more damage while their leadership is high.

Strategy[]

The Culist of Khorne is a useful fighter support hero that can provide extra troops with their summons which includes Bloodletters and one Bloodthirster. In combat, they are also a mid-tier fighter who can give and take respectable damage while fighting in the middle of the main infantry line. With their Warshrine mount they provide an aoe buff that improves base, ap and melee damage of all friendly units the more units are killed but in this mount they are incredibly slow and becomes a big target so beware of missile units who will easily take down the Warshrine Cultist if you are not careful.

In multiplayer, the Cultists are often seen on foot to save cost and protect from missiles. This provides a persistent fighter that can launch a devastating Bloodletter summon at a critical time.
