Strategy[]

This faction serves as a massive early opponent for The Thousand Maws, as by the time you finished your starting enemy, this faction will have a full-stack of various low-tier Skeleton units sitting inside a tier 2-3 settlement with possible garrisons, making it harder to defeat them as the AI has a tendency to spam Skeleton Spearmen (which is very devastating towards Rakarth's beasts-themed army) while their ranged units are superior due to the amount of the units and their higher range (Darkshards deal AP damage, which isn't really useful considering most of this faction's army units aren't highly armored). As early game economy of Dark Elves aren't that good, requiring slaves to make money, which again require constant battles to fuel the economy, it is best to ambush this faction's main army to split them from the settlement. After that, you can steamroll this faction until you meet your 2nd hard-to-defeat early-ish game enemy: Spine of Sotek Dwarfs so try to converse your forces and save up powerful beasts while fighting this faction to be prepared against an even worse enemy.

Trivia[]

  • Based on its name, symbol and opposite colors, the faction is meant to represent defectors from the Exiles of Nehek. This is also the only minor Tomb Kings faction whose leader's name is more unique than the other minor Tomb Kings factions leader.
