Domination is a new multiplayer battle type which was added in Total War: Warhammer III.
How it works[]
- Domination involves 2 players controlling armies fighting against each other on a battlefield.
- Before the battle, players choose a main army, and a reinforcement army.
- The main army appears on the battlefield and can be deployed in the deployment phase at the start
- During the battle, players try to capture and retain control of victory points (small square locations on the battlefield) by placing troops there
- Each battlefield has 3 victory points to capture, labelled I, II and III
- Flying units cannot capture points
- Regular infantry (non single entity) units have the most "capture weight" - they capture points the fastest
- Holding victory points generates victory tickets. When one side reaches a certain number of victory tickets, they win.
- Players also generate supplies over time
- Supplies are used to summon units from the reinforcement army, each unit has a different cost.
- There is reinforcement points in each player's deployment zone, as well as vanguard reinforcement points further forward
