Endgame scenarios are very difficult and challenging events that occur after a number of turns when you are playing Immortal Empires.
They can be adjusted before you begin a game. You can can pick and choose which endgame scenarios to enable. You can enable multiple if you wish (meaning that multiple endgame scenarios can spawn in the same campaign). You can choose the earliest turn at which the endgame scenario might occur. You can make them easier or more difficult, or turn them off completely for a more relaxed experience. Before an endgame scenario occurs, there is a 10-turn warning, and this puts a small icon in the top center of the campaign map screen which counts down to the endgame scenario.
List[]
- A Grudge Too Far - Dwarfs
- Da Biggest Waaagh - Greenskins
- The Black Pyramid - Tomb Kings
- The Wild Hunt - Wood Elves
- Ultimate Crisis - all endgame scenarios in the same game
- Vampiric Ascension - Vampire Counts
- Vermintide - Skaven
- The Will of Hashut - Chaos Dwarfs
Creative Assembly stated that "at some point every single faction in the game will be represented in some kind of Endgame or Endgame-like scenario"[1], this means most of the Total War: Warhammer races are likely to become part of an endgame scenario eventually, with the races not currently part of one: Vampire Coast, Chaos (Warriors of Chaos, Norsca, Tzeentch, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Khorne, Daemons of Chaos), Lizardmen, Kislev, Grand Cathay, The Empire, Beastmen, Bretonnia, Dark Elves, High Elves and Ogre Kingdoms.
If you are from the same civilisation as the endgame scenario armies[]
If you are from the same civilisation as the civilisation in the endgame scenario, you will be unable to have any diplomacy with them even though they are similar to you. They will still target you as an enemy, and all existing alliances and diplomacy with you and those factions will be permanently broken.
For example: you are playing as Karaz-a-Karak, and your game's scenario is "A Grudge Too Far". When that happens, all other Dwarfen factions will turn against you. Be prepared for doomstacks of powerful units, so keep some at your territory if you want to expand your empire.
