Eshin Maneater is an Ogre Kingdoms Ogre Kingdoms Regiment of Renown monstrous infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Omens of Destruction.

Description[ | ]

Ogre Maneaters are veterans of many campaigns fought in far-off lands. Travelling mercenaries without peer, they have spent decades accruing scars, tall tales, wealth and exotic wargear before heading back to the Ogre Kingdoms. Maneaters have fought throughout the Old World and beyond, and many races attempt to recruit such fighters into their armies, promising food, gold or whatever else the Ogres want in return for their services. The term ‘Maneater’ was originally coined for the mercenary captain Golgfag Maneater, after he ate his human Paymaster whole, but has become a general term for any Ogre who travels the land as a mercenary.

  • Sneaky (for an Ogre): While Ogres are generally not the subtlest of creatures, this unit is surprisingly well versed in the art of stealth.
  • Anti-Infantry: Anti-infantry units have an advantage against targets that are smaller than a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against small targets, superior weight used to smash through lighter enemies, or an explosive attack from range that effects a large area.
  • Stalk: This unit can move hidden in any terrain.
