Foolish Vainglory is a generic dilemma Event Commander Activity Neutral.png available to all racial factions introduced in Total War: Warhammer.

It enables the player to chose a temporaryCampaign turns.pngfactionwide bonus Unit effect positive.png, either a minor leadership Morale.png bonus for all armies or a major unit recruitment cost Treasury VC.png reduction.

They say you revel in victory. They say you spend more time erecting monuments to battles past than managing them realm. They say you are a fool.

Requirements[edit | edit source]

  • None.

Trigger timing[edit | edit source]

  • As soon as all requirements are met there is a random chance the dilemma will trigger immediately.

Options[edit | edit source]

Option 1: We'll see who is the fool![edit | edit source]

  • War Fervour Morale.png
    • Turns remainingCampaign turns.png: 5
    • Leadership Morale.png: +5 (all armies)

Your warriors thirst for battle!


Let us make an example of these rumour-mongers and malicious gossips. A punishment is called for.

    • Recruitment cost Treasury VC.png: -25% (all armies)

On this rare occasion, there is a glut of ready and willing bodies to join the fray.


While you cannot be dictated to by rumours and whispers, less time boasting and more spent planning future victories might be wiser.
