The beauty of Athel Loren is seldom seen by outsiders. Many shun it as a haunted place, filled with darkness and a deep sense of foreboding. Even the most courageous Bretonnian Knights cannot help but feel uneasy beneath the leaves of the Deepwood, for there is a sense of watchfulness that fills every glade and hollow. Those brave enough to venture in soon find themselves helplessly lost; some never find their way home, others walk for years only to re-emerge from the forst moments after they entered it.
