Gleaming Pennant is a common banner introduced in Total War: Warhammer which provides access to the common Gleaming Pennant passive banner ability to the assigned unit. It grants a minor constant leadership buff to itself.
This ancillary is equipped by the lord and then assigned to any unit, including the lord, in the pre-battle menu.
