Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki

Gorduz is a survivor; a thoroughly dangerous individual whose talent for survival is matched only by his inborn aggression in battle.

Gorduz Backstabber is a Chaos Dwarfs Legendary Hero introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs.

Recruitment[]

Description[]

All fame is fleeting and all glory ultimately fades away. The renown of the Hobgoblin Chieftains tends to fade away more quickly than most, usually with the help of a dagger, poison or 'nasty accident'. Gorduz Backstabber has outlived most of the other tribal leaders thanks to a naturally distrustful disposition and lashings of low cunning. He has also been lucky as the hardened scar tissue that criss-crosses his massive bony shoulder hump testifies. Fated... Lucky... Sneaky! Call it what you will, Gorduz Backstabber has an enduring talent for survival. In battle, Gorduz wears light armour and carries a shield and axe, and rides a Giant Wolf into the fray.

Attributes[]

  • Melee Specialist
  • Lucky Git: When Gorduz's health is low, he has a chance to regain some of his hit points.
  • Shielded: Shields have a chance of blocking arrows, bolts, rifle shots and similar small arms fire - but only in a forward facing arc.

Strategy[]

You can get this Hero extremely early in the game, which is very useful since your early-game army will be mostly Hobgoblins. After filling your first army with 50-75% actual Chaos Dwarves, put Gorduz in your 2nd army (assuming you aren't managing unit-caps well). In late-game, he becomes less useful unless you're making a Hobgoblin Doomstack of some sort or you want the extra replenishment, or you want a unique RNG-focused character.
