==Background==
The '''Gunpowder Road''' runs along the south-westerly expanse of the [[Great Bastion]], west of the imperial provinces. It is ruled over by [[Miao Ying]] from the province capital of '''Nan-Gau''', the City of Smoke. Unsurprisingly for a city located so close to the Bastion it is a military stronghold and production center. Its workshops and forges produce an endless stream of armaments and war machines that are distributed to every corner of the dragon empire. The lords of Nan-Gau are granted more political independence than most, due to its importance.
