The Znarkharja have deep knowledge of all ailments and can tap into life-forces to heal or debilitate.

Hag Witch (Death) is a Kislev Kislev Hero unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Shadows of Change.

Recruitment[ | ]

Description[ | ]

Millennia ago, the Ungols learned to cast magic without using the mutating Chaos Winds. Their spellcasters mastered techniques to manipulate, cajole, bully and bribe the many spirits of Kislev to do magic for them. However, these spirits are capricious and demand a terrible price in return: a witch’s youth. As well as wise women with the sight, those who suffer great loss – such as the death of a husband or child – may in one way or another also find themselves with an intimate understanding of Kislev’s tormented spirits. Hag Witches who come to power in this way often live alone, grieving for their lost loved ones and fading youth amongst the sparse thickets of the oblasts.

Strategy[ | ]

Hags are spellcasters that are bound to a chariot that attacks with a mortar-like magical projectile. The projectile can be a bit unreliable, but the fact it does magical damage (and Hags do magical damage in melee as well) makes it very effective against demonic enemies, and Kislev will face them frequently. Hags should never be left in close combat, but the charge bonus on the sleigh is absolutely nothing to be sniffed at and they can continue firing while you're ploughing them through lighter infantry. All of these attributes make Hags rewarding to closely micro, particularly with Druzhina or Boyar lords who don't need much supervision - and who benefit quite a bit from their Mother Knows Best passive.

Versus Frost Maidens, Hags offer a wider range of magics and useful passives, allowing you to tech them more effectively to benefit particular army builds, however with the bear mount and the Snow Leopard summons Frost Maidens arguably provide more heft in combat.
