Despite the regiment's relative youth, the Heralds of the Wind are famed amongst the Reavers of Ellyrion. Their Harbinger, Toralien, has earned them great renown for his innate ability to read the ebb and flow of a battle. Thus have the Heralds of the Wind ever appeared precisely where they were needed at the crucial moment, sweeping aside war machines behind enemy lines or crashing home into their flanks to wreak utmost havoc.
↑Decent Melee Combatant: Despite being primarily a missile unit or spellcaster, this unit can also hold its own ground when fighting in melee.
↑Fire Whilst Moving: This unit can fire while on the move.
↑Vanguard Deployment: This unit can deploy in an expanded deployment area, allowing it to start the battle within striking distance of the enemy - or somewhere unexpected.
↑Very Fast: This unit can run circles around most other units, taunting and harrassing the enemy or evading its missile fire.
The trade off for having missile cavalry is usually that they lose reasonable melee stats. These Heralds have ranged attacks while also being melee cavalry. They have improved melee stats over the standard Reaver Archers. Such stats, allow them to hold their own in a melee engagement quite well. This also means they have a good amount of potential damage if they can be used wisely. Allow them to skirmish with their bows, but don't be afraid to allow them a charge into an enemy before pulling back to maximize their ammunition. They are also faster than the standard variant going from 90 Speed (very fast) to 105 Speed (ridiculously fast), this helps them in both role as a speedy skirmish cav and melee cav unit.
