Such a creature is driven by monstrous hunger, endlessly prowling for fresh meat.

Description[]

Summoned through savage and secret rituals known to very few, the Incarnate Elemental of Beasts is a monster plucked from the most chilling of legends. A grotesque and towering, half-human figure, the beast embodies the ferocity and merciless hunger of the wild. Its taut-sinewed form springs and bounds with ease through the densest wood or barren moor, running down its prey without mercy or cease and gorging on their flesh in an orgy of unrestrained bloodlust. It is said that summoning such a monster bears a dark and terrible price. Yet, such is the dire need of these endless days of warfare that when the land is threatened, the price is willingly paid, and the power of this Incarnate Elemental is brought forth to devour its master's chosen prey.

Attributes[]

  • Monster
  • Armour-Piercing Melee: The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Anti-Large: Anti-Large: Anti-large units have an advantage against targets that are at least as large as a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against large targets or an attack that focuses on a very small area. However, some units are simply better against large targets because their attacks are slow and easy to dodge by skilled melee combatants.
  • Causes Terror: This unit can cause terror, making its melee target rout for a short time. Units that cause terror are immune to terror and fear themselves.

Strategy[]

For Kislev, the Elemental Bear is tankier but in every other regard this thing is way better, particularly if you are in a theatre where you have trees to work with, because unlike most large monsters it can hide in forests. It can go toe-to-toe against most other large entities and win without much support, and can hurt non anti-large infantry a lot with its constant Mortis Engine-type effect. It's also somehow cheaper to boot!
