Jungles of Chi'an is a province introduced in Total War: Warhammer III, located in Far East.
Background[]
Athel Loren's most ancient denizens left the great forest long ago to journey to the previously unexplored extremes of their life-giving Worldroots. Beyond the distant mountains to the east, these spirits made their unlikely home, deep in the southern jungles of Grand Cathay. The bamboo groves found here are places of profound peace and tranquility.
The relationship these Treemen share with the locals is no less fractious than it is anywhere else the Asrai call home. The humans have a need for bamboo, none more so than during the construction of The Great Canal, and their reckless pillaging of the groves in that time resulted in several peasant villages being flattened by rampaging Treemen. A more persistent threat are the monkey people loyal to the Dragon Emperor, who simply enjoy tricking and thieving from the forest spirits whenever they can.
