Description[ | ]

A Keeper of Secrets is a terrifying foe to face, delighting in exquisite pain, the caress of claw through skin and muscle, bone and organ. Its enormous razor-edged claws can tear apart a heavily-armoured Knight with one graceful slash while its hands can crush bone with horrifying ease. Its actions are a ballet of exquisitely performed blows. Every strike by claw or blade is bestowed with almost delicate precision; a sensuous caress becomes a rib-crushing embrace, and a casual swipe becomes a drawn-out gouge which spills organs and blood upon the ground in all manner of pleasing patterns.

Attributes[ | ]

  • Wh3 main sla keeper of secrets Monster
  • Spellcaster: This unit can cast spells.
  • Shielded: Shields have a chance of blocking arrows, bolts, rifle shots and similar small arms fire - but only in a forward facing arc.
  • Armour-Piercing: The damage of Modifier icon armour piercingarmour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.

The Keeper of Secrets is the epitome of Slaanesh, and as such is very fast, does insane amounts of damage in melee, and has the resilience of wet toilet paper. Its shield counts for very little at the stage of the game you're likely to be using it, so it needs to be used conservatively - any kind of anti-SEM artillery or anti-armour ranged is its bete noire, so you need to be engaging those with your fast flankers or summons before you let it close in. Its targets should be any non-spear type of infantry - it can really hurt even elite armour-piercing infantry when used in tandem with Acquiescence - and any non anti-large cavalry. Its speed means it can catch up with even light types of cavalry, ruining whatever plans the enemy had for the flank.

Its rival for expensive late game SEM is the Soul Grinder (Slaanesh). Comparatively the Soul Grinder is much better armored and has anti-large, allowing it to be used as a frontline tank, but lacks spells, which gives the Keeper greater adaptability and infantry-wiping potential.
