“ | A most evil Sorcerer, known for tormenting his foes by ensuring that death only comes to them after great suffering. | „ |
Kihar the Tormentor is a Norsca Unique Hero unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer with Norsca (DLC).
Recruitment[]
- He becomes available to the
World Walkers and
Wintertooth if they gain allegiance to the Serpent, by razing settlements and dedicating monster hunts to Slaanesh's glory.
Description[]
Those champions of Chaos who seek mastery over the magical arts are known as Chaos Sorcerers, and they are madmen and malcontents all. They are amongst the most awful and depraved of all servants of the Ruinous Powers, for they long ago sold their souls in exchange for the heady elixir of pure power. Where many of the world's Wizards, such as those taught by the Colleges of Magic in Altdorf, glean their arcane skill from long years of painstaking research, a Chaos Sorcerer's understanding of the Winds of Magic is often instant and innate. Without the patience and wisdom that such study brings, an inexorable descent into deformity and madness is nigh on inevitable.

Strategy[]
The following applies only to the Mortal Empires or The Old World campaigns:
A good dragon-mounted caster for Norsca with regeneration. He gets dual passives of Kindleflame and Metalshifting with each cast, however he does not bring Burning Head or Firestorm so his Kindleflame is just for fireballs and units buffed with fire damage. His main damage spells are from Lore of Shadows (Pit of Shades and Pendulum) giving good options for different target shapes. He also brings relatively spammable buffs and debuffs with good synergy. As a Chaos Sorceror, he is decently armored and can get some good fighting value with his dragon in addition to his spellcasting. Finally, he brings the handy Block Army function.
- In Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer II, he is automatically of maximum rank and you cannot alter his skills.
- In Total War: Warhammer III, he is spawned at rank 25 and has a unique, accessible skill tree along with a very powerful trait.
- While you can give him equipment, you cannot remove him from his Chaos Dragon mount.
Notes[]
- Despite his Slaanesh-theme appearance, he does not have access to the Mark of Slaanesh attribute.
