| ~ In-game description |
Marauder Bearmen (Great Weapons) is a
Norsca and
Warriors of Chaos melee infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Tides of Torment.
Recruitment[]
Norsca
Unlocked with: Warriors' Hall or Raiders' Bazaar
Warriors of Chaos
Warband Recruitment: In provinces with well-developed Dark Fortresses (Requires building)
Unlocked with: Hall of Axes
Description[]
The Bearmen, like many of the tribes of Norsca, have been warped by their close contact with the Chaos Wastes. Given their ancestry, which some say stretches back to the Great Bear himself, their demeanour is unmistakably redolent of him. Few have truly pronounced ursine features unless looked upon from up close – at which point the observer is probably being torn apart or slashed to pieces. Though also known for their intermittent mercenary dealings with southerners, the Marauder Bearmen find straightforward raiding and pillaging vastly preferrable to conducting warfare on contract.
Attributes[]
Great Axe Infantry- ▲ Armour-Piercing: The damage of
armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
