- For info on how the Warriors of Chaos mark and upgrade units in Total War: Warhammer III, see Warbands.
Marks of Chaos are ancillaries unique to the
Warriors of Chaos introduced in Total War: Warhammer with Chaos Warriors. These ancillaries can only be equipped by Lords and their effects can be applied onto specific units in the Pre-battle panel to provide them with various attributes, abilities and stat increases.
Marks of Chaos should not be confused with Banners which work in a similar way.
As of Total War: Warhammer III, the Marks of Chaos are no longer available as they were transformed from ancillaries into attributes that are innate on the Warriors of Chaos units. However, they are still available in the first and second game.
- For the attribute versions of the Marks of Chaos see: Mark of Khorne (attribute), Mark of Nurgle (attribute), Mark of Slaanesh (attribute) and Mark of Tzeentch (attribute).
List of Marks[]
| Name | Description | Effects |
|---|---|---|
| Those who bear the Mark of Khorne are consumed with a violent rage and the constant need to shed the blood of their foes. | ||
| The Mark of Nurgle often manifests as a cluster of warts and buboes. Its bearers are accompanied by a miasma of pestilence. | ||
| The Mark of Slaanesh emboldens its bearers, desensitising them to the most perverse and vilest scenarios until even the goriest sights fill them with glee. | ||
| Those that bear an ever-burning Mark of Tzeentch have a natural capacity to manipulate magic and a strong prescience for seeing multiple fates. |
