Background

In Bordeleaux its not gold that the nobles prize above all else but the grape, for that is what has made so many of the landed lords, and especially the ruling Duke Alberic, so rich. It's no wonder that the vintners only release so many cases each year and in doing so keep demand artificially high. However, the true test will be at the market, where drunk nobles constantly 'test' the samples - leading to more than one poisoning over the years.
