Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki

The Nemesis Crown is a campaign effect available to all races in the Immortal Empires Campaign.

Acquisition[]

Nemesis Crown Clicked

Nemesis Crown UI at its second level.

If the player is within a certain distance to the lands of The Empire they will receive a special notification informing them what the Nemesis Crown is and that it is present within an imperial province. Several turns later, they will receive another notification informing them the owner of the region the Nemesis Crown is within. Finally, the player will be notified if the crown is ever claimed by a lord for the first time and by who.

If the player discovers the location of the Nemesis Crown before any other lord claims it, they will see a Nemesis Crown battle site, which appears as a ghastly green circle on the campaign map similar to the icon for a set piece battle. If an army is maneuvered over said circle they will enter an Ambush on a powerful rogue army, upon winning said battle the lord leading the victorious army will be given the Nemesis Crown, and be given the option to wear it or seal it away.

If the lord currently wearing the Nemesis Crown is defeated in battle or goes a certain number of turns without winning one (said number changes based on crown level) they will lose the crown, with the former giving the crown to the battles victor and the latter forcibly sealing the crown at the lord current location.

Gameplay Mechanic[]

The lord who is in ownership of the crown and their faction will receive a number of buffs and debuffs, which will increase in strength as the crown increases in level. The crown level is increased by winning 5 battles with said lord, and after these 5 victories the lord will be given a dilemma to either keep the empowered crown or seal it for a lump sum of Money, +10% Replenishment, and replenishment in foreign territory for 10 turns. The Nemesis Crown also has a timer which requires its wearer to win a battle within the allotted turn limit or lose the crown. This timer starts at 7 turns but is reduced by 1 by every new crown level, down to a minimum of 3.
