Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki

They're stupid, lumbering gits, but strong and aggressive, so therefore useful to the Chaos Dwarfs, both in the mines and on the battlefield.

Orc Labourers are a Chaos Dwarfs melee infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs.

Recruitment[]

Description[]

Even though their numbers have steadily increased down the long centuries, the Chaos Dwarfs are still few, and are far outnumbered by those over whom they claim dominion through might and cruelty – their Labourers. The Chaos Dwarfs consider all life other than their own kind to have value only as raw resource and fitting sacrifice, and to them the muscle, sinew and souls of those that bow and scrape and cringe before them are no more than a commodity to be amassed, exploited and spent. Without labour from without, Zharr-Naggrund would not have been built and its vast industries could not be maintained. Even now, the need for fresh-blood and workers only increases with each passing year. Orc labourers are therefore a common sight, but they are an unpredictable lot and are often sent to their deaths in droves.

Attributes[]

  • Great Axe Infantry
  • Expendable: This unit is comparably cheap to recruit, maintain and replenish.
  • Meat Shield: While unimpressive at causing damage, this unit is useful as a 'meat shield', absorbing damage that would otherwise hurt a more useful or precious target.

Unit Abilities[]

Passive Abilities[]

Strategy[]

Orc Labourers are significantly weaker than their Orc Boyz counterparts. They exist as a meat shield to protect your more important units. Do not rely on them for major damage.

Compared to Goblin Labourers, Orc Labourers have superior stats and armor piercing damage, making them more effective against armored factions such as Dwarfs or rival Chaos Dwarfs. However, it is important to note that Orc Labourers are taller and larger than Goblin Labourers, making them vulnerable to friendly fire from your ranged units who are unable to shoot over them.

Bugs[]

  • The Resilience attribute for this unit only mentions Barren Wasteland and Desert, even though they also don't suffer any attrition from Snow, Chaos Wastes, Chaos corruption, or mountain like other Chaos Dwarfs units.
