This Plague Priest's one aim is to expend his life spreading deadly 
plagues to cripple the enemy; a power given to him through the rite of The Pestilent Scheme!

It's all fun and games until this Hero's plague infects you. If you're fighting Skavens (or about to), use Commandments that reduce the chances of plague spreading and try to research technologies that negate plague spreading. This plague can be extremely devastating and for some reasons, the major Skaven factions will use them instantly once they got the chance to (and use it together in the same turn for some reasons) so avoid fighting multiple Skaven factions at the same time and build multiple infection clear/spreading buildings or as soon as you see the enemy use the Pestilent Scheme rite, use all of your Heroes at disposal to wound this Hero. This will only delay what is inevitable but if you can wound the Hero again or wipe this faction before this Hero returns then they won't be able to use it again.
As Skaven factions, other than Pestilens, try not using this near your own frontline between you and the enemy. Sure, it's tempting to see enemy suffering from attrition but it's probably not tempting to see your own armies suffering from attrition.
If a Hero of an infected army joins becomes seperated from the army, they will not be affected by the plague but if they join another army, that army will be infected. It might be better to just destroy the army if it's just an army of low-mid tier units. Reset the skill points of the Heroes and the Lord then recruit them later to avoid the plague from spreading.
