Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki

A putrid Daemon pus-beast caked in filth, considered lower even than Nurglings, and whose gaping, noxious maw can consume a man in a heartbeat.

Plague Toads of Nurgle are a Nurgle Nurgle, Wh3 main dae daemon prince 256 Daemons of Chaos, and Warhost of the Apocalypse Warriors of Chaos war beasts unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III.

Recruitment[]

Description[]

The blackest, filth-choked lagoons and lightless sumps of the Plaguefather's realm have served as a spawning ground to all manner of daemonic beasts and foul creatures. They are toad-like bags of brackish filth and pus whose wide maws can swallow a man whole. As well as being dragged along like pestilent flies in the wake of Chaos summonings and Daemonic incursions, these maligned Daemons are drawn to places of disease and decay in the mortal world such as the dank reaches of sewer-pits and stagnant mires, devouring the unwary that cross their path and finding sustenance in suffering and befoulment.

Attributes[]

  • Wh3 nur toads War Beasts
  • Anti-Infantry: Anti-infantry units have an advantage against targets that are smaller than a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against small targets, superior weight used to smash through lighter enemies, or an explosive attack from range that effects a large area.
  • Poison Attacks: The Modifier icon poisonpoisonous attacks of this unit weaken the target's speed and damage and/or apply the Poison! debuff.

Unit Abilities[]

Passive Abilities[]

Strategy[]

Not worth it. Plague Toads are too slow to properly fill the function of war beasts, and as cavalry they are lightly armoured, have a pathetic charge and above all are easy to hit, both by melee and ranged. They're just painfully mediocre in every way, as fun as it is to watch them hop into the enemy. Use Chaos Warhounds (Poison) for fast flankers and Pox Riders of Nurgle for demonic cavalry.
