In The Realm of Chaos campaign[]
- To trespass upon the Chaos Realms is to step into a nightmare. Four domains ruled by their cruel masters: Nurgle, the Master of Plagues; Slaanesh, the Lord of Excess; Tzeentch, the Changer of Ways; and Khorne, the Blood God. We must visit each realm and steal a soul from a Daemon Prince. For it is these souls - one from each of the great powers, merged together, that shall light the hidden path to the Forge.

In The Realm of Chaos campaign, it sits apart from the rest of the campaign map, separated by a gap which cannot be traversed. This represents it being another dimension/reality in the lore. There is five provinces in the Realm of Chaos, which are likewise separated from each other. These five provinces contain no settlements, but different areas of them do have different battle maps.
- Khorne: The Blood God's Domain
- The Gatekeeper
- Tzeentch: Realm of the Sorcerer
- The Librarian
- Nurgle: Land of the Plaguelord
- The Gardener
- Slaanesh: The Dark Prince's Realm
- The Courtesan
- The Forge of Souls
However, armies can travel to these Chaos Realms by accessing Chaos Rifts which appear randomly on the campaign map after turn <insert turn number>
The armies guarding each of those regions, except for the Forge of Souls, may also break into the main map from Chaos Rifts. When the Chaos Rifts run out of time and close, the Daemonic armies there will wage war against everyone. This includes Daemonic factions in the main map who belong to the same Chaos God, such as Rapturous Excess attacking Seducers of Slaanesh (both belonging to Slaanesh).
Players must attack the realms of the four Chaos Gods to claim each guardian Daemon's soul.
When the player captures three out of four souls, the Shadow Legion will emerge to fight the player.
Once all four souls have been claimed, the player can reach the Forge of Souls to fight and defeat Be'lakor.
