Description[]
Chaos Knights are feared throughout the Old World and beyond as towering, merciless butchers capable of turning the course of battle with a single charge. Yet some of those marked by Nurgle bear an even more striking countenance. Disfigured by disease, the Plaguelord's Rot Knights ride into battle atop vomitous Rot Beasts – the most rabid of Chaos Warhounds that have been plagued and corrupted by Nurgle to become enlarged, slavering mounts whose bites hideously infect those unfortunate enough to survive their encounters with them. Upon these horrible creatures, Rot Knights revel in spreading Nurgle’s maladies at the tip of a sepsis-inducing lance.
Attributes[]
Monstrous Cavalry- ▲ Armour-Piercing Melee: The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
- ▲ Anti-Large: Anti-Large: Anti-large units have an advantage against targets that are at least as large as a horse. This advantage can be a
damage bonus against large targets or an attack that focuses on a very small area. However, some units are simply better against large targets because their attacks are slow and easy to dodge by skilled melee combatants. - ▲ Regeneration:
Regeneration allows a unit to heal while in battle. Fire is known to harm this healing process, so be warned that
flaming attacks will cause more damage to units with Regeneration. - ▲ Poison Attacks: The
poisonous attacks of this unit weaken the target's speed and damage and/or apply the Poison! debuff.

Strategy[]
One of the best cavalry units in the Chaos roster, and far and away the best one available to Nurgle. Nurgle has a very slow core roster and a dire lack of anti-large: Rot Riders fix both of these issues, without sacrificing durability. Placed on the flank, they will make any enemy cavalry unit think twice about diving in, and give you opportunities to swing them around into SEMs or monstrous infantry that are giving your infantry a hard time. Nurgle is maybe the best faction in the game for bogging an enemy down, providing them with a perfect anvil to get their value off of. Even if they take damage, so long as you pull them out in time they have natural regen to walk it off with. A borderline essential unit for germ lovers.
