This lesser than two evils principle Unit effect negative.png forces the player to chose temporaryCampaign turns.pngfactionwide penalties for all infantry units, either a moderate armour Armour.png debuff or a moderate weapon strength Weapon damage.png debuff. Regardless of the option chosen, the play will also have to pay a minor amount of money Icon treasury.png.

In-game description[edit | edit source]

Our cargo hold has sprung a leak! Some of the booty has already been damaged an' our weapons an' armour are now at risk too! There is only so much space above deck, 'owever, so which supplies should we try to save whilst the ship is bein' repaired?

Requirements[edit | edit source]

Trigger timing[edit | edit source]

  • As soon as all requirements are met there is a random chance the dilemma will trigger immediately.

Options[edit | edit source]

Option 1: Salvage the Weapons[edit | edit source]

  • Damaged Armour Armour.png
    • Turns remainingCampaign turns.png: 3
    • Armour Armour.png: -10 for all infantry units (all armies)

We had to sacrifice our troops' armour; it will take us some time to 'acquire' new equipment.

Treasury Icon treasury.png: -1000

We can't fight on without our weapons, so they must be protected from water damage where at all possible. Let's get' em all up from the cargo hold at once, shall we?

Option 2: Salvage the Armour[edit | edit source]

  • Rusted Weapons Weapon damage.png
    • Turns remainingCampaign turns.png: 3
    • Weapon strength Weapon damage.png: -20% for all infantry units (all armies)

We had to sacrifice our troops' weapons; it will take us some time to 'acquire' new equipment.

  • Treasury Icon treasury.png: -1000

We must protect ourselves first an' foremost, as a rusty sword will still end a man if wielded with purpose. I say we move the armour to the upper deck before it's too late!
