Description[]
When a Daemon's physical body is slain, he can surrender his true name to the Forge of Souls. The dark bargain thus sealed, his crippled essence is bound to a mighty Warp-metal hulk. Thus is he reborn as a Soul Grinder. A Soul Grinder's clanking tread shakes the ground with every step, and it is devilishly fast for a creature its size, able to scuttle swift as a horse's gallop, or even faster should the scent of battle touch its nostrils. Piston-driven legs thud home with sickening force, crushing to bloody paste those beneath.
Attributes[]
Missile Monster- ▲ Armoured: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from
Armour-Piercing damage. - ▲ Armour-Piercing: The damage of
armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets. - ▲ Anti-Infantry: Anti-infantry units have an advantage against targets that are smaller than a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against small targets, superior weight used to smash through lighter enemies, or an explosive attack from range that effects a large area.
- ▲ Causes Terror: This unit can cause terror, making its melee target rout for a short time. Units that cause terror are immune to terror and fear themselves.

Strategy[]
An expensive and somewhat clunky unit, Nurgle's Soul Grinder is of some use thanks to its ability to bombard the ranged formations that are likely to give Nurgle armies the hardest time with its own ranged attack. This is best aimed at the largest concentrations of troops possible since its three missiles are highly damaging but have a wide scatter. Place your shots as wisely as you can because it has minimal ammo and it can only be refilled using Ezar Doombolt in campaign.
In melee it's reasonably effective against non anti-large infantry, but it isn't the wrecking ball that the Toad Dragon] or Great Unclean One are, and those are the units you should prioritise if that's what you're after.
