Southern Badlands is a province introduced in Total War: Warhammer.
Background[]
A mix of stinking bog and parched scrubland populated by warring Savage Orc Tribes, there appears little in the Southern Badlands to recommend it. However this used to be a place of some activity for the Dwarfs, for the marshes of Galbaraz are one of the few places in the world where incredibly valuable Oathgold can be mined. Long after they turned their faces from the necromancers of Mourkain the Dwarfs continued to come here to gather Oathgold, but they were stopped by the tide of Greenskins that swept over their entire civilisation. Seams of the mineral are said to remain, there to be tapped by anyone determined enough to drive off countless thousands of Orcs.
The High Elves also had a colony here, Gronti Mingol, which was abandoned for unknown but very guessable reasons.
