The Blasted Wastes is a province introduced in Total War: Warhammer III. It is part of The Realm of Chaos and Immortal Empires.
It corresponds partially to the Mortal Empires provinces of The Wolf Lands and Rib Peaks.
Background[]
The Blasted Wastes is a western area of the Dark Lands. It is a great desert that supports very little life. The powerful winds that cross this land have long since destroyed the fragile ecosystems that once existed here. Scattered tribes of nomadic Goblins live in its valleys and hills; ambushing caravans and attacking other Greenskin tribes to survive. Sandstorms and the burning sun will force many travellers to fight for the shelter of caves and access to water holes.
A rocky pass in the north of the Blasted Wastes enables access from it to the World's Edge Mountains. It is watched over by Silver Pinnacle, a sumptuous palace carved out of an old Dwarf hold, ruled over by a court of beautiful, luxury-loving, sunlight-hating noblewomen who encourage visitors, despite the citadel's remove.
