The Bleak Coast is a province introduced in Total War: Warhammer III, located in southern Naggaroth.
Background[]
The Dark Elves run slave plantations and logging camps in the somewhat less cold stretches of Naggaroth such as the Bleak Coast to scratch that which is necessary to sustain the great cities of the north. Such important work does not endear these clans to the elite - Dark Elves only respect wealth and power that is taken from another, and to be assigned here so far away from anywhere of note is practically an exile. The largest settlement here, Arnheim, was a former High Elven colony that was seized in a conquest led by Malekith himself.
Naggaroth is a wild and harsh place outside of the Dark Elves' holds, and they fight intermittent skirmishes with Beastmen and wild elves here to whom such conditions are an attraction. These trackless pine forests have grown darker still of late, the shadow of a timeless and pitiless entity falling over them. Mother Ostankya has travelled far from her homeland in search of the ingredients she needs to create the ultimate curse - one with the power to alter the fate of the world altogether. Here on the Bleak Coast she has found the perfect den to do it, and the time of the embittered Druchii clans that inhabit it is surely at an end.
