This page refers to the legendary lord. For other Daemon Prince lords, see Daemon Prince.
Daemon Princes are amongst the greatest and most powerful servants of Chaos.

The Daemon Prince is a Daemons of Chaos Legendary Lord unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III. In the campaign, he leads the Legion of Chaos.

Description[]

These beings are those who follow Chaos with a deep and fervent faith, pledging themselves body and soul to the service of the Dark Powers. They know that there is a great prize for those who show unflinching devotion. Should a champion survive the endless battles and the ravaging mutations granted by their masters whilst still finding favour in the eyes of his fickle gods, he may attain the ultimate reward. The patron of the champion will elevate him to his side as a Daemon Prince, a being of godlike power, forever bound to darkness.

Introduction description[]

"The god-slayer is returned back to the mortal plane, forever changed. And now the Dark Powers circle around him like carrion, eye vying for the prize - of yoking the Daemon Prince to their servitude. Until then, they offer him gifts and servants of his own, and so he raises an army to no single God - the Legion of Chaos.

Yet even as he's courted by the Dark Powers, there is a greater bounty found in the Chaos Realms.

I do not need to travel far to find the Daemon Prince and make my offer. Already, he lays the foundations to a new fortress from which he will cast a reign of terror."

Defeat trait[]

Slayer of the God-Slayer: All that faith and slavish devotion didn't stop the Daemon Prince from losing badly, on the day at least, to a general of vastly higher quality.

  • Diplomatic relations: +20 with Kislev
  • Attrition: -50% casualties suffered from all attrition (Lord's army)

Talent Tree[]

Strategy[]

Unless you want some sort of roleplay-custom-character, just don't bother picking Yuri the God-Slayer. He is surrounded by 2 powerful factions who may declare war on him (Malus and Boris). Norsca Legendary Lords might act weird and declare war on you instead, too.

Trivia[]

  • The Daemon Prince is the only character in Total War: Warhammer III (if not the entire Total War franchise outside of Avatar Conquest) whose appearance can be customised.
  • In one promo for the Daemon Prince, the announcer chose "Daniel" as his name. It became a running joke in promotional media ever since.
