The Dagger is a unique dilemma for the Dark Elves race introduced in Total War Warhammer II and part of the loyalty game mechanic.
This random chance dilemma can only be triggered once for a high loyalty lord and gives the player three choices with differing bonuses and effects, namely:
- The crafted Aventurine Dagger weapon item in exchange for a moderate money payment
- The crafted Aventurine Dagger weapon item and moderate bonus experience in exchange for wounding the lord
- Minor lord loyalty gain and bonus experience
The name of the lord that triggered this event is displayed under the dilemma name.
In-game description[]
Your Lord has been caught secretly commissioning one of the court blacksmiths to create a sublime dagger enchanted with curses.
Requirements[]
- Player is a Dark Elves faction
- Player has a lord with high loyalty (10)
Trigger timing[]
- As soon as all requirements are met there is a random chance chance the dilemma will trigger immediately.
Options[]
Option 1: Cut the smith's throat[]
- Aventurine Dagger
- Treasury: -3000
Underlings know they cannot serve two masters! Replacing the smith will be costly but worth it!
Option 2: Stab the Lord![]
- Aventurine Dagger
- Bonus experience: +1500 for < lord with high loyalty >
- Character wounded: < lord with high loyalty >

Option 3: Begone![]
- Loyalty: +1
- Bonus experience: +750 for < lord with high loyalty >
