Strategy[ | ]
The influence of Nurgle on this faction allows for some fearsome combinations of healing magic with heavy Chaos units like Chosen, Shaggoths, or Chaos Knights.
In the early game, capturing Middenheim early will provide a second Dark Citadel for boosted baseline income and recruitment. Raid and sack the Empire and Kislev aggressively for money.
Use the plagues mechanic freely, as this resource tends to pile up. Keeping several lords together will trigger plague spreading counts quickly.
Mobility units like warhounds and furies are strong against the early Empire ranged threats, while marauder spam supported by heavy units is more robust against Kislev.
