The Jade Custodians is a Grand Cathay faction introduced in Total War: Warhammer III. It is led by Ming Fan and can be found in the central parts of Grand Cathay.
Background[]
The Central Provinces is the heartland of the empire, a region of rivers and fertile farmland which is ruled over by Ming Fan, a Celestial General. It is relatively peaceful, without large internal or external threats. Although even here, there can be danger lurking in the forests. The largest city is the trading hub of Shang Wu, from where the Jade Dragon rules. The city stands at the confluence of multiple rivers, which serve as highways, with many goods being carried across Cathay by boat – in much the same way as the River Reik and River Talabec do in The Empire.

Trivia[]
- Up until Update 4.0 The Jade Custodians were also in The Realm of Chaos campaign. With the release of Shadows of Change they lost their capital to The Jade Court and their other two cities to the Skull-takerz, effectively being removed from the campaign completely.
